All participants in an approved project of Action 1.1, Action 2, Action 3.1 and Action 4.3 (Training courses) under the Youth in Action Programme have the right to receive recognition for their participation and learning which can be used in their future lives. The Youthpass Certificate is the instrument which has recently been developed for this purpose.
Youthpass is part of the European Commission's strategy to foster the recognition of non-formal learning. As a tool to visualise and to validate learning outcomes gained in "Youth in Action" projects, it puts policy into practice and practice into policy:
