Belgian EU Council Presidency: 1 July - 31 December 2010
On 1st of July 2010, Belgium took over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU) from Spain. The Belgian Presidency will go on working in tandem with the eighteen-month common work programme set up as a "trio" with Spain and Hungary. In the area of youth affairs, it will focus on three youth priorities: youth work, youth and employment and coordinating the European and international agendas for policy on children, youth and children's rights.
